Barking Rose is our Farm Brewery.
Who are we? Barking Rose is our family - and not just because we're family owned. Founded by Matt and Ashley Rose in 2019, we wanted to create a place where people could relax. A meeting area. A community. And as we've grown, so has our "family", because every single person who comes to Barking Rose makes it what it is.
ABOUT BARKING ROSE
In 2012, Matt opened up Forge Brew Works in Lorton Virginia. Formerly an Aerospace Engineer at NASA, this was a moderately large change in career. Over time, it became known for its Belgian Ales and German Lagers, which, coincidentally, are two of Matt's favorite styles in the world.

In 2017, Matt and Ashley got hitched in Warrenton, Virginia, and decided that maybe Lorton was a little too far away, so they started looking for a place closer to home, until they found the 11 acres that eventually became Barking Rose.

As the brewery grew, so did our family, with our 3 sons Lance, Charlie, and Sawyer. Our brewery community has also grown, becoming a place to relax with friends and family, play a game, watch some music, and of course, have a beer.

We have a small hopyard that we grow fresh Cascade hops, and a 10bbl Brewhouse where Matt still brews all the beers. Our brewery also has a lovely 21+ Beer Garden, and a converted horse trailer (The Clydesdale) that we would love to bring to your event.
